Summary/Abstract: This paper addresses one of the most pressing issues of private law, namely, the theory of unpredictability. The theory of imprevision is a question of law under the effects of the current economic crisis has resulted in contract law. Also, updating legal issues raised by the theory of unpredictability occurs in the context of regulation for the first time at its principle in art. 1271 NCC. This paper deals with the concept, scope, conditions applying theory in the context of imprevision in terms of law doctrine and the relevant case law. It also presents elements of comparative law.
