Summary/Abstract: The present paper has two aims. The first is to introduce the concept of Metacognitive Self (MCS). MCS is self- insight into one’s own biases. The theoretical background on Metacognitive Self served as a base for creating a valid and reliable instrument – the second and most important aim. The structure of the new instrument for measuring Metacognitive Self (MCSQ-24), as expected, yielded a second-order factor model, with four “content” factors at the first level and a single “metacognitive self” factor at the upper level.
