Summary/Abstract: There is more talk of regional cooperation in the Balkans than there is action. The aim of this publication is to try and improve that situation in two ways. The first is the very fact that it is a regional edition initiated by the Balkan Human Rights Network, which is made up of a number of regional organisations working on protection, promotion and education in the area of human rights. The positive initial results naturally led to a desire to intensify cooperation within the Network, and even to launch a periodical which would cover both human rights and Network activities. The result is the Yearbook of the Balkan Human Rights Network which you see before you.
