Summary/Abstract: The subject of this article is to present the results of a survey on networking and selfstudy as an example of a strategy for the management of the schools. The aim of the study was to identify the benefits and difficulties of creating a network, and define the way the networks. In practical terms, the aim of this paper is to present a case study of design of networks and self-learning on the example of Rybnik. The results show that the school staff will be happy to participate in the network, they see tangible benefits for themselves. Schools participating in the network relate to each other cooperation, which contributes to a better functioning of the education system at the local level.
