Summary/Abstract: Author gives the information about musical instrument, which was found in the Cave of Altai Mountain. He have been investigating this instrument and came to that this instrument is “Dombra (musical instrument of Kazakh people)”. On the neck of this instrument was runic inscription, author entered the sentence, which was read by him, in the scientific turn. The sentence gives the following meaning: “The fragrant melody gives the pleasure us”. Analyzing the peculiarities of this runic inscription author made conclusion that this instrument is concerned to 5th-7th century. The appearance of term “kui” proves that this instrument is the heritage of Sak’s (Scyth) period. Thus, author concludes: there is a possibility of that this instrument, which was found in Altai mountain, is one of the primary examples of the string instruments.
