Summary/Abstract: A rectangular construction made of brick, including a round shaft made also of bricks, was found during preventive archaeological excavations in Timișoara – 16 Eugene of Savoy Street. Another shaft, also made of bricks but smaller, was discovered in the vicinity. The inventory of the two shafts consists in enamelled pottery fragments, glassware, fragments of a sewerage pipe, iron nails – typical of 17th-19th centuries. A Hungarian bronze coin issued in 1893 was also found. The authors suppose the discoveries are connected to an inn, later changed into a private house
