A Subject and (New) Semantic Circumstance

Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the phenomenon of uncanny in domain of the poetic image and dream.The assumption is that uncanny is constituted in the domain of autonomous axiological system, which does not always have to refer to reality. Thus, further investigation is focused on a position of a subject from which the given phenomenon is recognized as uncanny. Subject accepts its own axiological reality and forms the judgments according to it. Uncanny can be recognized as a judge which cannot be formed on norms (premises)which subject himself considers relevant. At the end of the text, Chamisso’s novella Peter Schlemihl’s Miraculous Story is taken as an example where one uncanny phenomenon can be recognized.
