Summary/Abstract: In Constantin Noica’s concern for philosophy, culture represents a constant landmark, both in European culture and in Romanian culture. In this paper, I’ve set myself the goal to point out an essential aspect that may build a functional idea of constructive critics: the metaphysical interpretation of culture. Constantin Noica uses fundamental metaphysical concepts (One, Multiple, ontological model) in order to create the image of the most consistent product of the Spirit, in a Hegelian meaning. The philosophical approach (the philosophy understood as metaphysics) of culture by Noica can be engulfed in a wider theory that encompasses other great Romanian scholars such as Lucian Blaga and Mircea eliade. The difference is that Noica remains faithful to an interpretative model on a line that unites the classic greek and the modern European thinking.
