Summary/Abstract: The article investigates the role of leadership in the Performance Management System. It is assumed as encouraging towards behaviours and actions, which reflects expected results. The article specifies four roles in the system: leader’s, managers’, employees’ and HR Department’s. Regarding the role of leadership, it refers to the meaning of building up the following: a vision and efficient measurement system as well as motivation. The article implies the potential to use the system in employees’ personal development and this way the development of organization.
