Summary/Abstract: The small marble plate representing Epona between two horses from Budapest, Fineart Museum Pest is an old discovery from Transylvania. The quality of the stone and image of the godness suggest us that the finding was made in Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa or in Apulum. The iconography is known as the 'Imperial' type and is more common outside Gaul, in the danubian provinces of the Roman Empire and can be dated in the second half of the 2nd century A.D. This is the only unbrocken relief of Epona from Roman Dacia.
