The Cedar in the biblical scripts and in the cuneiform tablets

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyze examine the role and the importance of the cedar tree in the cuneiforms texts as well as in the Bible. According to sources, the cedar cannot be regarded only as a tree, but also as an important element of the ancient religious beliefs, its theological symbolic being extremely rich. The author tries to scrutinize all these aspects both in the prephilosophical cuneiform texts, and in the Old Testament scripts.
