Has Gen 1,1–2,3 been re-read? The question is whether it is possible to look anew at the priest’s account of creation?

Summary/Abstract: The article presents new exegetical and literary criticism proposals regarding the interpretation of Genesis 1,1,2,3. The author suggests to link them together and asks for the possibility of a new perspective to interpret the passage. Looking at Genesis 1 with the account of these new proposals enables us to read the text in a new way. Nevertheless, not all new suggestions are acceptable. The purely functional interpretation of the creation (J. Walton) is not confirmed in exegesis.
