Technical conditions for development of the low emission economy

Summary/Abstract: First of all, the paper explains the meaning of the term climate sustainability (obligatory in the UE) and parallel understanding of the category of sustainable development as a concept of an economy total decarbonization. Secondly, it has been showed the impact of strategy Europe 2020 and latest package 2.0 for the period to 2030 being a challenge for Poland, both because of the specific structure of energy balance and high costs. Thirdly, the work shows the possibilities and potential of the technological innovations in the field of broadly understood energy that led to the low emission economy.
