Summary/Abstract: In his letters to Sultan Sanjar, Ghazali rebelled against formal religiosity although he himself was deeply religious. He gave wise advice to rulers, governors and other state officials, pouring out heavens of anger and insults on the exploiters, ruthless rulers and corrupt political, ecclesiastical and other officials who illegally used the power and position. He realized that if he wasn’t the first to change and free him from some spiritual diseases he suffered from, he would fail to change both rulers and the ordinary man, and to teach the basic principles of universal significance, managing the development of human society towards the spiritual basis.
