Summary/Abstract: In can. 843 § 1 of 1983 Code of Canon Law the legislator has concluded the requirements concerning the administration of all sacraments. He mentioned among them to: the proper request, the proper disposition and lack of a legal ban. In the context of these requirements, the author analyzes the administration of infant baptism due to the fact that the children are not the main addressee of these requirements. They do not request for the sacrament, and they do not profess the faith, which determines disposition to receive the sacrament. The infants may only concern the lack of a legal ban if: 1) they are live and 2) they aren’t baptized. Therefore addressees of the analyzed legal norm contained in the can. 843 § 1 are sacred ministers and parents.
