Summary/Abstract: In this study biographical capital is treated as the developmental potential where we can articulate two elements. The first one is more permanent and independent from the subject. These are different kinds of resources – family and environmental but also resources which directly belong to the subject – such as the intellectual potential and health. The second element of biographical capital is expressed in the own activity of the subject: the mobility, agency, and ability to learn. These elements intertwine (emergence), and the capital is a self-multiplied value. The theory of biographical capital has been compiled by comparison with the other types of capital – described and defined interdisciplinary – that is, economic capital and social capital.
