TRANSFORMATION ZONE IN THE AGGLOMERATION CONTINUUM SPACE IN THE CONTEXT OF THE DEMANDS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Summary/Abstract: The article takes an issue of functioning the transition zone and the urban-rural continuum. Theoretical framework presented have been extended to problems of administrative divisions and lack of cohesion in managing on the areas concerned. There are analyzed the current functioning of the continuum zones and planning documents detailing how their will be shaping further. The whole issue was considered in the context of the demands of sustainable development.
