Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to give a description of communicative and pragmatic functions of address and characterization of vocative’s lexical-grammatical features in religious discourse. Religious discourse is also characterized by emotive addresses resulted from secondary nomination by means of metaphoric transposition.
