Summary/Abstract: The paper has the purpose to put into spotlight the importance of Romanian population from Transylvania, supporting Romanian army during the Independence war. The magazines, like Familia, Telegraful Român, played an important part in spreading the words to the Romanian population, who formed women committees. As a support of Romanian army there were many Transylvanian volunteers who have been enlisted in Romanian army. The women committees have been organized in all Transylvanian counties after the appeals have been propagated in the magazines. The women’s committees were involved in fundraising for Romanian army.
