Summary/Abstract: In article maximum full information on finds of bronze helmets known now “assyrian” or “kimmerian” type is collected. On the basis of the received data the general and especial details of a design of helmets are analyzed, technological process of their manufacture is reconstructed, elements of design some of them are examined. Besides the basic questions on an origin and chronology analyzed helmets are discussed. As a result of the lead analysis cited the additional data on dependence of helmets of Northern Caucasus from helmets – prototypes of Urartu and Assyria, dating helmets by a late stage of the preScythian period, not earlier than 714 BC proves to be true, their belonging historical Kimmerians is proved.
