Summary/Abstract: The present paper is dedicated to the results of investigations at the archaeological site Trinca “Izvorul lui Luca” of the campaign of 1989. The study is complex, presenting the history of the research, the stratigraphy of the section, the description of the archaeological complexes and archaeological materials on the cultural horizons (Upper Palaeolithic period, period of transition from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age, Bronze Age and the first epoch the Iron Age). Owing to the prevalence of the Iron Age vestiges, they were analyzed more minutely, especially ceramics, which is the crucial element in the cultural attribution. There were also recuperated animal bones, limestone rocks, and various categories of items, made of clay, flint, bone, horn, stone and bronze. The discovered materials inevitably come to complete the general picture of the Early Hallstatt horizon with fluted ceramics of the Chișinău-Corlăteni type from the Eastern Carpathians.
