The concept of health education and health promotion – the origin and purpose of implementation

Summary/Abstract: Treść artykułu koncentruje się wokół zasadniczych pojęć w pedagogice zdrowia: edukacji zdrowotnej i promocji zdrowia. Autorka podaje wyjaśnienia terminów, wskazuje na obowiązujące ustawy i dokumenty, w oparciu o które realizowane są koncepcje edukacji zdrowotnej i promocji zdrowia w szkole, oraz uzasadnia konieczność harmonijnego ich wdrażania w system szkolny. The article focuses on the fundamental concepts of pedagogy of health, health education and health promotion. The author gives an explanation and clarification of terms ‘definitions. She also points out the current laws and documents which support the implementation of health promotion concepts in schools. The author justifies the need for a harmonious implementation of these in the school system.
