Handicraft activities in elementary education of children in the third decade of the 20th century and the second decade of the 21st century

Summary/Abstract: Celem opracowania jest próba zwrócenia uwagi na niepokojące z pedagogicznego punktu wi-dzenia zjawisko obniżającego się poziomu zręczności manualnej dziecka. Przyczyn zaistniałej sytuacji jest prawdopodobnie wiele, przypuszcza się, że w dużym stopniu do takiego stanu rzeczy przyczynił się dominujący w edukacji intelektualizm i wszechobecna technizacja z jednej strony, a z drugiej – brak pedagogicznego zainteresowania zajęciami rękodzielniczymi. The discussion aims at attracting attention to a pedagogically disturbing phenomenon of a vis-ibly lowering level of manual dexterity of children in early education. There are probably many reasons for the situation, and it is believed that it can be largely attributed to a dominating intellec-tualism and technical focus in elementary education on the one hand, and lack of pedagogical interest in practical activities on the other.
