Summary/Abstract: This paper brings into question those hairpins with the head in the form of a hand found in Dacia. The six pieces were discovered in Apulum (2), Ilişua, Buciumi, Porolissum and Drobeta and they link to the cult of Iupiter Dolichenus and Sabazius. Four of them are made from bone and two from bronze. The dating of such hair pins in the Roman province of Dacia fall into the IInd-IIIrd centuries, five pieces are dated in the IIIrd century.
