Summary/Abstract: In the article the author analyses the issue of the use of social reports in building the image of a socially responsible enterprise. The paper describes characteristics of these reports and illustrates benefits of social reporting. It also presents necessary conditions for social reports to become an effective tool for creating the image of a company. The conditions include the following: reporting should be voluntary and credible, and the reports should reach stakeholders easily.
