Summary/Abstract: The expression “moral experience”, along with the concomitant notion of experience itself, seems to have been understood in divergent ways. Taking as a background three views currently operative in our culture — emotivism, the ethics of duty, and the notion of an ethics “beyond good and evil” — a conception of ethical experience will be presented based on the findings of Edith S as elaborated in her work Philosophy of Psychology and the Humanities.
