Summary/Abstract: In this article the regional differences in fertility in Bulgaria are examined. The dynamics of the main measures are explored in regional and national level. The variations in the mean age of the mother at first birth and in the mean age of the mother at the birth are analyzed. The degree of regional differences with respect to the examined indicators and trends is evaluated. Conclusions are drawn and the main causes of regional differences in fertility in Bulgaria are revealed.
