Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to reconstruct and systematize the perception of the facts in mainstream economics, especially in light of the concept of “stylized facts”. “Stylized facts” can be defined as a general regularities of identified features of the economic time series. The concept of “stylized facts” served a key role in the development of economic thought the end of the twentieth century. It constituted the core of both school Real Business Cycle (RBC) as well as the plane consensus in the course of crystallization of the New Neoclassical Synthesis NNS and emerging of Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium models (DSGE) within it. The strength of the facts is their independence from the theoretical model and objectivity allowing consensus, often of paradigmatically opposite positions on the map of contemporary economics. In view of the above, facts for macroeconomics can be seen as kind of final falsification.
