Summary/Abstract: With the stamp of two totalitarianisms... For years it used a sports facility named after the Third Reich leader, Adolf Hitler. The birth of the club was closely related to the so-called Union of fraternal parties, i.e. the Polish Workers’ Party and the Polish Socialist Party, and in fact the abolition of party pluralism on the Polish political scene. The euphemistic “unification” meant the liquidation of the last political force that might have opposed the sovietization of the country.
