Summary/Abstract: July 3, 1974. Frankfurt am Main. The match for the football World Championships finals between the national teams of West Germany and Poland. The game takes place in the pouring rain. It’s more a water polo than football. But on the 43rd minute, Jan Banaś manages to go through huge pools and the German defensive. With an unstoppable shot he defeats Sepp Maier and gives the lead to red-and-white. They would not lose it to the end of the match. The Netherlands wait in the finals. The latter thread is of course a fiction.
