Summary/Abstract: The article gives an insight into the retrospective exhibition "Watercolour in Latvia. 19th - 21st Centuries" at the Latvian National Museum of Art in 2015. The panoramic view accompanied with a thick catalogue presented the development of this medium from the early amateurish exercises to the use of watercolour in contemporary art.
