Factors of Cultural Transfer – Contemporary Hungarian Literature in Slovak Reception

Summary/Abstract: The national culture and the literature within it does not develope independently from the impulses from foreign cultures/literatures that are received as results of cultural transfers. By means of shift from the bases of traditional comparative studies, the article tries to summarize the factors playing important roles in the cultural transfer. Besides the analysis of aesthetic and system characteristics, it takes into account the commodity-character of the literary product. In the example material it employs the phenomena of Slovak reception of the contemporary Hungarian literature.
