Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this article is to assess an implementation of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) concept and its importance for companies functioning. The research was conducted using a personal interview method, according to a structured plan which was characterized by a direct relationship between the investigator and the investigated. A conducted empirical analysis of selected companies revealed that the implementation of the CSR concept was most effective only when it became a part of the strategy of the organization. Businesses which introduce the principles of social responsibility obtain innovative system solutions which are distinctive for them.
