Determinants of financial liquidity in the dairy cooperatives

Summary/Abstract: The paper identifies the strength and direction of the selected factorsinfluencing financial liquidity in dairy cooperatives. The analysis used a propositionof cause-and-effect relations between the factors influencing financial liquidityin which the liquidity level was determined by the structure of assets, thestructure of liabilities and commitments.Financial liquidity is a complex category, therefore, it requires a comprehensive and multifaceted approach. Identification of factors affecting the liquidity is extremelyimportant for financial management of cooperatives. The already conducted research gave an opportunity to ascertain that the main factor affecting theliquidity was the structure of liabilities. The economic situation had no apparenteffect on the level of liquidity, however, it could have developed the determinantsof the structure of liabilities to a greater extent.
