Summary/Abstract: The paper describes difficulties of petrol and gas usage as a crucial tools in creation of the strategy aimed at recovery of Russia`s imperial position in the global relations. A paper summarizes Russia`s energy potential, according to currently available data. It also discusses the role of the transit routes in the context of creating relations among particular players at the global petrol market. It also underlines the meaning of petrol incomes for the Russian economy. It also contains a prognosis abort Russian energy strategy in the context of internal situation in Russia, global petrol market and international relations.
