Summary/Abstract: After a short theoretic introduction, this paper deals with the regulation model of a few European countries in short and analyses the duties and proceedings of bailiffs in these countries. The countries in which the organization of bailiffs should be presented are the following: Hungary, France, Estonia, Finland, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Sweden, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
