Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the analysis of Alaksiej Karpiuk’s novel Biała Dama, containingthe elements of detective and historical novels. In particular, the categories of time and space arediscussed. Aspects of these categories are interestingly presented in the considered novel. Theevents connected with the explanation of the mystery of the eponymous Biała Dama concerncontemporary times and the territory of the Polish-Belarusian borderland, whereas the story ofKatarzyna Wałkowicz’s fate takes the reader to the second half of the 17th century and to theterritories of various countries.
