The Romanian Economy in the Interwar Period and the Role of the Banking System in Economic Development

Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on the development of the economy in interwar Romaniaand the evolution and role of the banking system for the economical dynamic. In this context,we underline the different rates of development of the two key economical sectors (industryand agriculture), identify their causes and analize the financing processes that take placethrough the banking system.
