Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this article is to show how the raising socrealizm influenced on dramaturgy in polish theatres. The play and production of Balladyna by Juliusz Słowacki is the example of making resistance to doctrines of socrealizm in the early 50' of 20'th century. Subordination to politics or faithfullness to literature? Questions like that must have been made by the directors of nationalized theatres. The history of staging of romantic drama in Katowice and Częstochowa, is a perfect example of unsubordination of literature to the local authorities. The Impact of Political events to possibility of stage realization of Balladyna is example of the dependancy of the art to the politics. In the article I also bring press reviews and the theatre program with the upcoming premiere of this drama that were played on the stage of Częstochowa and Katowice. Press reviews are the reflections of socrealistic realities in Poland of 50' (fifties) of 20th century, that are trying to enslave the polish literature in the age of romantism.
