Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this paper is to show that the labyrinth myth can still offer new possibilitiesof interpretation and spread diverse metaphorical dimensions before the reader eventhough the thesis is stated that its fading in its metaphorical function. Examining the exampleof the Minotaur-lay by Dürrenmatt it is shown that the modern labyrinth-variation is notsolely limited to its aesthetic playfulness, but it should rather be understood as a pictorialresponse to the condition of the people living in the postmodern era.
