Summary/Abstract: The problem of competitiveness of the Bulgarian firms is an essential task for the new based on knowledge economy. The integration in the European structures is unthin kable without a sharp increase of the competitiveness of our business units, which at the present moment is at an unsatisfactory level. The practice of the leading world companies confirms the statement that a higher quality of the produced goods means a more stable competitiveness. In this regard , one of the preconditions for increasing the quality comes into the face of the implementatio n of statistical methods for control in the management system for the technological processes and for control of the produced goods.
