Summary/Abstract: The study analyses the antecedents of the history of development of judicial execution law in Roman law. Following the introduction, it presents execution in terms of its historical periods; highlighting the development of civil law and praetor’s law, and legislation by emperors, more specifically by Iustinian, in the relevant epochs.
