Summary/Abstract: The Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilization's Art Collection keeps several works (Pl. I-V) of the painter Nicolae Irimie (1890-1971). The article presents some aspects of the painter's life and work made in the area and contribute to a fuller understanding of his work. Even if Nicolae Irimie is a modest painter in the scale of Romanian painting, he still has his special place.
