Summary/Abstract: This study has the scanning characteristic of empirical studies made for the determination of Election Cycles Theories in the recent past. The aim here is to determine the measurable relation between policy and economy. In the study, theoretical framework of Election Cycles Theories was examined firstly, and then empirical studies made within the scope of the subject were dwelled on. Literature review was carried out under two main headings in studies conducted in the form of Turkish economy and foreign country economies. In this study, it has been revealed that the reasons and results of the Election Cycles formation show differences according to the structure of the countries. In this regard, the study has welding quality for the theoretical studies which will analyse the relationship between policy and economy.
