Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to characterize the market of logistics outsourcing. Using methods of analysis and description, it attempts to present the current situation and possible developments on this market, based on worldwide and local research. Presented are concerns related to outsourcing, outsourcing expenditures of 3PL operators – both globally and by region – and services transferred to outsourcing.
