Summary/Abstract: Taking into account the great influence they had on the subsequent evolution of Bulgarian society, we claim that a brief analysis of the way in which post-war Bulgarian historians defined the events that occurred in their country on June 9, 1923 is also worth our attention. We have attempted to clarify the cause of the wide array of observations made by Bulgarian historians on what happened in June 1923. The present article focuses on the opinions that certain authors, among them being Elena Statelova, Stoicho Grancharov, Yono Mitev, Fani Milkova, Nedyo Nedev, Gheorghi Markov and Nikolai Poppetrov, expressed in a few general works which have been published in the last decades.
