Arcaeological excavations in Sighişoara Areal

Summary/Abstract: The paper above present the rescue excavations of the Summer of 2002 in the Sighişoara’s areal, on the Breite plateau. The lack of the archaeological evidence on the eastern side of this plateau, namely on the „Kulterberg”, confirm the hypotesis of a Saxon historian K. Fabricius. According to him, „Kulterberg” was the place where was dicovered a hoard (see Chirilă, Gudea, Moldovan 1972, 29, nota 7) and not a Roman cemetery , as appear mentioned in the Roumanian bibliography (see n. 15).
