The prohibition of discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation in the universal system of human rights protection

Summary/Abstract: The article essays to answer the question of what the nature of prohibition of discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation is in the universal system of human rights protection. In order to determine this, a comparative analysis of selected documents of universal human rights protection system was carried out, which – in the case law and doctrine – have been recognized as the key issue in the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation, along with reaching out to the provisions of some national constitutions.
