Summary/Abstract: Helena Metera - author of experimental Polish primer, Ph.D. in pedagogy, person who celebrating unique jubilee this year - 101st birthday. This article reminiscents H. Metera's life and the accom-plishments – especially her primer which was published in 1975. The method of reading in that primer was connected with sounds and colours. An article presents backdrop of creating primer us-ing many unknown archival documents.
