Summary/Abstract: THE PAPER ARGUES THAT THE FINANCIAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CRISIS OPENED A NEW WINDOWOF OPPORTUNITY FOR THE REVALORIZATION OF THE EUROPEAN GOOD GOVERNANCE PRINCIPLESAND SUBSEQUENTLY FOR THE STRENGTHENING OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION WITHIN THEINTER-INSTITUTIONAL TRIANGLE BY THE CONSOLIDATION OF ITS TECHNOCRATIC LEGITIMACY. INTHIS CONTEXT, AFTER IDENTIFYING THE MILESTONES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE EUROPEANGOVERNANCE, THE PAPER FOCUSSES ON THE WAY THE GOOD GOVERNANCE PRINCIPLES HAVEBEEN RELOADED AND TRANSLATED WITHIN THE NEW 2014-2020 COHESION POLICY INCOMPARISON TO THE TWO PREVIOUS POLICIES AND QUESTIONS THE DELAY IN THE PRACTICALIMPLEMENTATION OF THE EUROPEAN GOVERNANCE REFORM. THUS, THE CO-DECISIONPROCEDURE IS APPROACHED AS A POTENTIAL RELOADER OF THE GOOD GOVERNANCEPRINCIPLES WITHIN THE NEW COHESION POLICY.
